The Bee Cave is looking for a strong, results-driven City Manager with exceptional interpersonal skills as well as the experience and confidence to take measured risks to advance the City's interests. The ideal candidate will also exhibit highly developed problem solving, technical, project management, and organizational development skills. To be successful, the incoming City Manager must have the ability to unite the organization with a shared sense of purpose, promote teamwork, fully articulate expectations, delegate responsibility and create a culture of accountability.
The ideal candidate must have broad knowledge of numerous municipal finance methodologies, proven budget skills, a sound business acumen, and a passion to relentlessly pursue the City's long-term financial sustainability, ensuring that the City never fails to meet its financial responsibilities or obligations.
The City Council is seeking candidates who have at least 7 years experience in an executive level position in a community of a comparable size or larger. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, business administration, or closely related field is required. A master’s degree is preferred.
