The 2020 CMAO Summer Conference will be held August 19-21, 2020 at the Stride Bank Center in downtown Enid. We are meeting in person in Enid (we will take social distancing precautions), however, we do have a virtual option available for a registration fee of $125. Should the risk related to COVID-19 increase, we will move to a fully virtual conference. In that situation, all registrants will be refunded a portion of the fee and only charged a virtual fee of $125, or the difference can be applied to the 2021 Winter Conference in Edmond.

Agenda at a Glance

  • Wednesday, August 19th: We kick off with the annual golf tournament, the CMAO and OMMS Board meetings and a welcome session with a tour of the Stride Bank Center facilities from City of Enid staff.
  • Thursday, August 20th: Join your peers for a Breakout Breakfast: City Managers, Town Administrators and Assistant City Managers, followed by a full day of education! New this year - two tracks, so you can pick the classes you want to attend! The day will end with dinner at Stride Bank Center, followed by miniature golf at 4 R Kids Foundation, a local nonprofit!
  • Friday, August 21st: We begin Friday with a District Breakfast, along with an ICMA update. We will spend the morning with two sessions on the COVID-19 pandemic, followed by our closing keynote speaker.

Hotel Information: We have two hotel options in Enid. Book by August 1st! Please let them know you are with CMAO so you receive the rate listed.

Springhill Suites: $119/night
5815 KL Dr, Enid, OK 73703

Country Inn & Suites: $89/night
710 Mill Run Road, Enid, OK 73703

As a precaution, we will be more spread out than normal at the conference to adhere to social distancing. Please wear a mask if you feel more comfortable doing so - we will have some available for attendees, along with hand sanitizer. Also, please refrain from hand shaking or close contact - we have entered a new normal and for now, we will consider a distant hello as professional and courteous to each other. We are hopeful we can meet in person and remain safe!

Accredited Manager Program

Each of our conferences and meetings will offer courses for the Accredited Manager Program (AMP) (40 hours of courses are required to complete the program.) An annual fee of $50 is included in membership dues, a non-refundable fee to cover additional costs of the program.
