In late 2011 records from CMAO dating back to 1975 were discovered in the old pink building owned by the Oklahoma Municipal League as the building was being prepared for asbestos abatement. These records include Board and Business Meeting Minutes as well as Treasurer's Reports and Statements of Expenditures.

CMAO Constitution

The original CMAO Constitution and By-Laws were created in January 1976.

January 17, 1992

  • CMAO amended the by-laws to remove the board requirement that board members also be ICMA members.

January 28, 1993

  • CMAO amended the by-laws by changing the budget year to run in accordance with the physical year.

January 12, 1996The by-law were amended to establish the seven districts.

July 10, 1990

  • CMAO membership approved a recommendation by the Nominating Committee which would require each board member to move up a position each year.

July 19, 2002

  • CMAO membership amended the "Ethics" section of the Constitution.

July 15, 2011

  • CMAO membership amended the (January 8, 2009) by-laws to change the composition of the Board adding two at-large positions and a representative for each of the seven districts.

July 17, 2015

  • CMAO membership amended the Constitution to clarify membership categories and membership procedures. Also, amended Article IX - Annual Budget; Section 4 wording which specifies annual budget recommendations.
